It is time to write. It rained yesterday! It has been a hot summer with a number of fires started. So what a blessing to have rain! Thank You Lord! And how nice to blog again! I recently read that to those who like to write, writing is like breathing...you must breathe and you must write! So again thank You Lord for this blog. My brother-in-law in Spain blogs and in Spanish and this reminded me to blog more. Just some happy recent times! We had our annual family camping trip August 20-23, 2015, at Lake of the Woods. Pictured left to right: Bridget Park, Josh, Priscilla & David Dutton, Justin Park, Wanda & David, Dan & Christen and baby Joshua, Dave & Suzy Brown and Sydney, Terell & Marilyn, Kathie & Jon, Jacob and his girlfriend Samantha Allgood, friend Bryan Thompson, Kate, Deb & Ben, and Collin and Tyler in front.

Hi! I found a good word for all you busy moms getting ready for another school year! It could work for any of us! "New year, new wardrobe!  Organize a clothing swap among your friends. Considering how quickly kids outgrow their clothes, you're likely to find gently worn clothing [or even some with the tags still attached!] that your children will love. Last year's flannel shirt may become your son's favorite fashion statement. Scoring even a couple pairs of jeans can save you time and money shopping." From Healthetimes, Issue 2, Vol. 8, 2015

Bowdoin Bulletin 2014

Once upon a time Year 2014!  Every year so full...Thank You Lord so many blessings! 2013 was our introduction to pastoring a church. We enjoyed a wonderful New Year's Eve Party with the people from Redwood Country Church. And Ben and Deb Siefker's wedding on January 4 was a wonderful beginning for 2014!  Ben was so delighted and Debra so beautiful as she walked down the winding stairway on her Dad's arm to marry Ben! What a delightful day of sharing Ben and Deb's joy! On January 12 Tom Vu from Vietnam came to our home with his Mom. His mother accompanied him to help get him accustomed to New Hope and the US.  Tom joined Stephen from Thailand and David Kim from Korea. We had a double blessing this year with the beautiful wedding of our second son David to Wanda Park. We enjoyed having a nice shower for Wanda. I sewed like crazy to make a zebra type skirt of all colors to wear. Their wedding was at Calvary Crossroad Saturday March 29, 2014 The rhododendrons a...

BOWDOIN BULLETIN 2013

What an awesome privilege we have to know, love, and serve Jesus! Each one of us!  Thank You God for giving us Your Son Jesus to deliver us from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of light!  Thank You also for the blessing of Your Holy  Spirit to teach and mentor us and bring Your words and ways to our thoughts. Thank You for Your Word, Your awesome Word, to keep teaching us Your ways and how You have worked throughout the history of the world since Creation. This year of 2013, we found that we were eager to take on new challenges.  Redwood Country Church needed a new pastor in January.  Terell began longing to do this and we talked and prayed about it.  The Lord opened the door!  What an awesome privilege and responsibility.  Thus we began our new ministry here at Redwood Country Church!  His many years of leading New Hope Christian School helped prepare him for pastoring. Back home we began planning the gard...

Bowdoin Bulletin 2012

Here we are!  Once again we review our year.  Each year presents special blessings and special challenges.  One year closer to King Jesus' return!  We like having the Eastern Gate on our Facebook and picturing King Jesus on a white horse fully in command and multitudes with Him! January found us getting more settled.  Terell soon planted a nice garden and set up the watering system.  Pumps took some time.  Ben kept very busy in his RCC EMT studies based in Medford.  Terell also worked a lot for David on his Athletic.net website.  I babysat for Calvary Crossroads during the ladies Bible studies weekly.  Enjoyed the kids and Moms.  The Ladies Retreat in Ashland was such a good time. Was able to fit in some studies in Ephesians, Malachi, and Beth Moore's book on Believing God with helpful teachers.  February brought a semi-daily exercise routine at Curves.  Made new friends and found new muscles!  Also some...
