He did it again! The Holy Coordinator! When we visit a church we look online first to check when church starts. If they don't have a website, we move to plan B and usually call someone. Somehow this time we just estimated when they would start and were way off. So we drove to another church. I could not believe how perfect our timing was when it really wasn't planned. And it was great to visit the plan B church since we had not visited there for some time. We have our home church and like to touch base with a number of other churches, especially since we work in a Christian school that reaches out to a lot of church families. Then lunch and visiting with our daughter Priscilla and her husband David. Such an enjoyable Sunday!

Bread is rising. If you don't have a wheat grinder, get one. Mine is an Excalibur Flour Mill. You can look for them online.
1. So special to see friends I grew up with. 2. Someone asked me "where is everybody?" They were used to seeing us surrounded by kids! Four are married, one with three darling children, two are teachers and two are in college, Oregon State and Corban University.

1. My cell phone still works! Thank You Jesus. I jump in the water to swim (I love to swim) and a little later realize I have my phone in my pocket. Laid it out to dry 3 days and it works. 2. Still enjoying old coffee. Leftover from our church picnic here at New Hope. Just refrigerate it and then microwave a cup. Wonder if there is research on what happens to the caffeine. :) 3. My Impact Bible is such a blessing. Saw it on sale and said no since I have Bibles. Kept noticing it. Decided to get it and really like it. The Student Leadership Bible, influence your world. Well, we all can influence our world.

The Holy Spirit is amazing in His coordination of our lives and His Word. Just watch Him at work in your life this week. And how about writing down each day 3 things you saw Him do (this for me also) and sharing them with someone. And how about an afternoon of prayer (or morning or evening or day - OM has a monthly day of prayer) and and afternoon of evangelism (or morning or evening or day - scheduled in). Go!!

Facebook has been my recent writing. So unique to be able to keep up somewhat with so many friends! I really do love Facebook. Most of our children are on and a lot of our extended family. Friends far and near. Texting is also nice. A phone call and an email are always good. Written communication has always been important. God took a lot of time and a lot of people to be sure we got his written word!

I just had the best time reading several of your blogs! Jessica with YWAM and the great job the kids are doing, Jacob when he was in Vanuatu and all the cool things he learned and accomplished, Heather in sharing what she and her family are learning and doing - wow, I feel so blessed by all of you!

First of all, everyone should have a blog. It is almost like breathing. Second of all, I want to thank the Holy Spirit for how He coordinates so many things and helps us. I am studying the Patriarchs in a Bible study and am learning a lot. I want to visit Israel and stand right where some of these things took place! Jacob wrestling with God. Reunited with Esau. Running. Limping. God's care and protection and guidance. Thirdly, enjoying the rain. Somewhat unusual for June 2 but still nice.

The Passover celebrating the Israelites deliverance from slavery in Egypt and looking forward to our deliverance from sin through our Lord Jesus Christ - we spent time remembering what Jesus has done for us at a Seder Dinner this evening at New Hope Christian School. About 7o of us shared the sweet/bitter time of communion.

From www.TurnBacktoGod.com Everyday we have to make choices. The results of a day are mostly based on the choices we make for that day. God has given us the freedom to choose. He will not make us do things without our permission. God says in Deuteronomy 30:15, “See, I set before you today life and prosperity, death and destruction”. Broadly speaking, we have only two choices in front of us: to choose life and its blessings or to choose death and its curses. To choose life means to choose God, His Son Jesus Christ and His principles found in the Scriptures. To choose death means to choose principles that are contrary to God’s Word. God is not the one who makes choices for us. We have to make them. God’s desire for mankind is that we will choose life. That’s why He says in Deuteronomy 30:19, “…Now choose life, so that you and your children may live”. Through Adam and Eve, God planned to fill the earth with multitudes of people who will choose life. But disobedience crept in along with i

Good Morning! At least, it is morning here in the Northwest of the United States! When you start thinking about the whole world, it is a different time everywhere! So Good Afternoon to some of you, and Good Evening to some of you! Here we have a cool, semicloudy lion March day. Sitting at my desk in Terell's office here at New Hope Christian School. Made the coffee in the staff room and the crockpots for our Friday lunch (on Thursday this week) smell so good!

Reading some of the blogger news. The editors want to go to a different format. Probably fine. Will read more. Birds are singing. Plants need pruned. Some things need planted. Time to get started on gardening. We are living in Revelation. I challenge you, as well as myself, to study and apply as much of Revelation as you can to this day. Warren Wiersbe in his study book on Revelation, Be Victorious, is helpful.

Animals

It appears that God likes animals. Birds and fish took one whole day of creation. Wow. All the other animals took part of one day of creation. They must have been amazing days! It is so nice to have an animal. They are blessings from God. How sad that many people don't have time for animals - not time for the sweetness and companionship and fun and yes some responsibility as in everything else. I think God probably has one or two of each kind all around Him along with cherubs and angels and people in heaven.

Please pray that I can get more caught up on Scrapbooks. I like to write and have done some on our books over the years - just needing to catch up. Thanks! And God bless you on yours!

Good Morning! It is windy. I love the wind as long as the trees are fine. It is really whistling. My husband has already been over to school to turn on the heats in each room after a 4-day weekend. Here is a picture of Brazil helping Haiti!

So we have one more year before this decade is complete - since the decade started in 2001. I was reminded of this in reading a letter to the editor of the Daily Courier. There was no year 0. So the first century after Jesus, A.D., began with the year 1 as I understand it. So the year 1900 finished the last decade of the 1800's. And the year 2000 finished the last decade of the 1900's. However, it does seem that common usage comes into focus also and I am interested to see how this is interpreted by others.

In my One-Minute Bible 4 Students (well, for everyone!) today beside the verses and comments was a section to think of 3 things you are thankful for. So I immediately thought of eggs (so nice to have each morning) and homemade bread (as often as possible) and the Holy Spirit :) Thank You God for taking such good care of us and all Your blessings and being right with us today.

A busy Saturday. Every day is busy. I love busy days. Making table napkins from a pretty piece of flowered cotton I already had. One little way to save a little - cloth napkins.
